For travel website TravelSupermarket, we created the Hip Hangout Index: the definitive ranking of the UK’s and Europe’s most hip neighbourhoods. A research team measured the ratio of typical trend-setting markers, such as vinyl record shops, vintage fashion stores, independent cafes and bicycle stores in each district.

We secured over 230 pieces of coverage, of which 99 pieces has links back to the TravelSupermarket website. 74% of these were follow links, and the average domain authority of the UK sites was 45. As a result, TravelSupermarket saw the organic search position for ‘city breaks’ improve from position 11 to 5. They also saw an increase in its halo rankings from a visibility score of 62% to 68%.
